Little Free Libraries
Guelph Public Library

Will your Library be surrounded by sand in Arizona or stand as an art-deco addition to your community garden? You can use this clever rooftop adaptation as a planter for cactus or perennials, house plants or a miniature landscape garden of its own. Libraries are built to-order and arrive in 4-6 weeks. We cannot ship Libraries to P.O. Box addresses.
Laurel Maguire. Ann Arbor, MI. e read a lot and love to share our favorites with friends and neighbors so we thought this would be a great thing to build for our front yard. We used scraps from a recent addition to make the library so it looks like our house. We also have adjustable shelving to be sure to have room for children's books as well as books for grown ups. We've seen neighbors of all ages borrowing and sharing books. It has been so much fun!
Elaine Savage. Palos Heights, IL. The Friends of the Library will be keeping the library stocked with nature related books for all ages. The Little Free Library was built under the direction of long time Palos Heights resident, Durward Fagan (102 years old) and his family. The Library is pleased to give back to the community an everlasting way to promote literacy and hopes that the Little Free Library not only becomes an opportunity to encourage readers, but also a place to build friendships...

Urban Librarians Unite (ULU) collected more than 20,000 children’s books to help replace library collections damaged by Hurricane Sandy. The library advocacy and support group, founded by 2012 LJ Mover & Shaker Christian Zabriskie, also placed Mini Libraries in front of libraries that were closed by storm damage.
Geri and Tim Johnson. Old Saybrook, CT. My husband built this stunning replica of the marina buildings, and the nautical detail is amazing. Being a retired librarian, I love this project to promote and keep reading alive. Boating season is just getting underway, and going to the 'library' has already become something special to do at the marina. After all, reading on a device just doesn't cut it on the water!
