DOSHA OVERVIEW - Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India originating over 5,000 years ago, says health is about finding balance in the body, mind, and spirit through nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise. It describes our life energy as 'dosha'  which it says circulates in the body and determines our physiological activity. There are three doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha. Do you know yours?

The Devoted, Loving, Tender Confidante, these earthy beings are grounded, soft, and smooth as honey. Their gifts include patience, diplomacy, and a kind, generous spirit that is comforting to the ones they love. Steady, sweet, Kaphas are great listeners and can offer a soft-place to land when the going gets tough. If the earth within them moves out of balance, however, they can experience feeling “stuck”, melancholic, hold grudges and be immovably stubborn.
