I painted this charming antique highboy in late November as a part of a group of pieces and decor to showcase how far a quart of Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan goes. Burgundy was the perfect color for the holiday season, so this little number got two coats followed by clear wax, and a generous helping of dark wax. The top was lovely already, but the top coat used to seal it was rather uneven, so I applied 4 coats of General Finishes Satin HP top coat, and used the original hardware. :)
On Trend: Pink Chalk Paint® Dressers with Gold Accents
This show-stopping pink was created with a mix of Burgundy, Antoinette, Pure White and Barcelona Orange Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan. It's the perfect color for an eclectic yet subtle French feel on a set of small dressers. Annie Sloan • Paint & Colour
For the second of my 12 Crafts of Christmas, I'm sharing a super simple and effective way of creating festive linen for your Christmas table! To make a runner like the one above, all you need is some masking tape, Blu-tak, and of course, some of my paint, Chalk Paint® and fabric. I used my Pure Linen fabric and chose a palette of Burgundy, Scandinavian Pink and Old White – a colour combination inspired by Carl Larsson's very traditional Swedish paintings.
