Art Fabric Mills,the dolls were offered in 1901, advertised in Delineator magazine. The 22" lithographed cloth dolls, originally presented on a bolt and designed to be cut, stuffed and assembled, depict the traditional figures of Punch and Judy, with colorful costumes and highly-characterized faces
The first performance of a Punch and Judy show was at Covent Garden, London, England ,on May 9,1662. It was recorded in Samuel Pepys's diary entry and it is believed a similar puppet show has been seen there every year since.
