Walnut Recreation Center is hosting its first All-Star Basketball Tournament on Friday, May 20th from 6PM - 9PM. Participants will compete in three different competitions: 3-Point Contest, Hot Spots, and a Rock-N-Jock game. This tournament is for ages 10-18 and space is limited. All participants who are 18 must be enrolled in school and present a valid school ID in order to participate. Do you think you have what it takes to become an All-Star? Registration is FREE.
Clark County Parks and Recreation presents Juneteenth in the 106, a celebration of community, music, parks, culture, soul food and drinks on June 17th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pearson's Juneteenth in the 106 celebration will include hands-on activities facilitated by artists, tabling opportunities for local businesses, arts and crafts, performances, social service, and cultural organizations. On Saturday, April 16th from 9 AM to 12 PM Walnut Recreation Center will be hosting A Hoppy Egg Run. There will be timed egg runs, for ages 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and for teens 13-15. Timed runs will begin at 9:30 AM. There will be food, games, prizes, and inflatable rides. The event is free and pre-registration is required.
