Adorable springtime set of platform sandals and matching purse. 1940s designers reacted to wartime restrictions of leather with ingenious uses of new materials such as the raffia found here. The playful colors lifted the mood; and we see a nice use of green with neutrals and a touch of complimentary red to liven up the palette. The trim is in a mathching brown leather, and the metal on the purse and shoe buckle is a shiny brass. Condition: excellent vintage condition. Just a hint of fading…
