So Jack & Little Red may have changed quite a lot, but Berandette LOOKS EXACTLY THE GODDAMN SAME. THAT WOMAN HAS DISCOVERED SOME KIND OF MAGICAL ETERNAL-YOUTH SPELL OR SOMETHING, I SWEAR. And look at the fricking sass she got going on...omg. Into the Woods (1990) Stephen Sondheim's Tony-winning musical proves that fairy tales don't end at "happily ever after." An assortment of well-known characters from "Little Red Riding Hood," "Cinderella" and "Jack and the Beanstalk" head into the woods for a variety of reasons, but they soon discover a common enemy -- an angry giant who threatens to trample them all. A stand-out cast from the original Broadway production includes Bernadette Peters and Joanna Gleason.

This is one of my favorite memories from a Broadway Show. I saw "Song and Dance" with Bernadette Peters and she was REALLY sick that evening, but went on anyway. This song, "Unexpected Song" was one of the many highlights of that marvellous evening in the theater. Here from her concert in London's Royal Albert Hall. All these years later, it still gives me goosebumps.
