Southern Flannel Moth ~~ His legs look like a tarantulas legs.I would freak if this ever landed on or even near me.I dont care if he doesn't bite, I wouldnt want it even close to me.but I can admire his furry "beauty" from afar ~~

This particular caterpillar was found at Posada Amazonas lodge in Tambopata, Peru, and it’s almost a fully grown caterpillar belonging to the family Megalopygidae, also collectively known as Flannel Moths.

The Flannel Moth Caterpillar -Megalopygidae Caterpillar- is one of the most venemous puss caterpilar in the United States. It is found in New Jersey to Florida and west to Arkansas and Texas but other species vary from South America to Africa.
