Her love affairs with Nicholas II (before his marriage), and two Grand Dukes gave society much to talk about. In 1921, she married Grand Duke Andre, youngest son of Grand Duke Vladimir. Grand Duke Krill, Andre's brother gave her the title of her Serene Highness Princess Romanova-Krasinskaya.
