Svenskt Tenn Josef Franks carpet, Mosaik, produced by Kasthall in Sweden. is a decorative composition of different fields of color that move our thoughts to porcelain, stone or glass. This carpet was designed in the late 1940s, but it has, as far as known, never been produced before. Mosaik is built on his philosophy that carpets should show a real, preferably decorated surface, giving a feeling of solid ground underfoot.

I was not familiar with Josef Frank's body of work in designing textiles, wallpapers and other decorative items - I really like this one!
