This is an alternative version of the original Montessori Spindle Box. It is small and perfect for home use where every inch of space counts. It measures 12 inches long and the spindles are 3 inches long. All 45 spindles are included. Our little 4 year old has a math period now and I saw the necessity for spindle box, but we did not want to the buy original one.
