Nautilus

Todos sabem que pelo mundo existe diversas espécies de animais e insetos e de muitos outros seres vivos, sendo que só de animais – que é a que menos tem espécies – temos mais de um milhão e trezentas espécies diferentes, portanto, é muito fácil a gente não conhecer nem sequer uma pequena parte delas. Sendo assim, que tal conhecermos mais algumas delas? Mas já vou avisando, algumas são tão estranhas que nem parecem ser deste mundo.

The Nautiloid was part of the “CGPortfolio Prehistoric Shark Texturing Mini-Challenge”. The raw 3D model is from “Idaho Virtualization Laboratory”. I’ve added a hood(head shield) to the model, detailed and textured it in ZBrush. The final render was done with Octane Renderer.

The nautilus dominated the ancient seas before the rise of fishes, and appeared about 265 million years before the first dinosaurs.
