Themed wedding cakes

When I imagine all the things I'd want to see in a Harry Potter-inspired wedding inspiration shoot, I imagine floating candles from the Great Hall, quotes from the books and films, magical cloaks (or at least magical-looking!), tiny details like horcruxes and snitches, a gorgeous themed cake... and oh wait. That's what THIS shoot is all about!

Before you say the game-changing “I do,” there’s so much prep to do for the happiest day of your life. Picking up the most perfect white dress is one. Sending out fancy invitations to guests (and not forgetting anyone) is another. Planning the whole celebration part is third. And when the list seems never-ending, you realize there has to be a perfect wedding cake and you can’t let yet another baking fail happen.

If I could do my wedding all over again, I seriously think I would like to have a Harry Potter-themed wedding. I’m not 100% sure I could get my husband on board with that, but we’re not really doing it, so I’ll just dream for now. I had a chance to make my dreams come true with this Harry Potter display window I put together for Sparkle Bridal Couture, a local bridal shop in East Sacramento, CA.
