Lee-Enfield Mk III 7.7x56mmR .303 cal., bolt-action, magazine-fed, repeating rifle.The Lee-Enfield was the standard issue weapon to rifle companies of the British Army and other Commonwealth nations in both the First and Second World Wars. With the smoothest action and its virtual immunity to malfunction, the Mk III served well past the middle of the 20th century. It can still be found in numbers with security forces in many Commonwealth countries.
