Centennial Log 1959....A forty foot section of Douglas Fir weighing sixty tons was loaded onto a Georgia Pacific Log Truck and started on its way to the Centennial Exposition grounds in Portland, Oregon. The log was cut by W.G. (Pokey) Allen a Camas Valley resident. The tree was originally 91/2 feet in diameter and over 200 feet tall.
