[MOC] Sapphire Eagle, my first steam loco
Hello I like to share the result of Spark Industries new side project. The company produces modern locos and cars, but wants to salute the old times. So designed a steam engine with enthusiasm and love. She is a 4-6-4 Hudson type loco: There wasnt a particular real loco for modelling, but the mai...
LEGO Rebrick is currently running a contest to build a train for the 10259 Winter Holiday Station. Being a gingerbread fan myself I immediately began designing a gingerbread train. The gingerbread train is made of cookie coloured bricks, tooth aching white icing and delicious crispy candy. The locomotive contains a small oven to bake pies. The tender is loaded with candy. The first carriage carries a big cake that rotates while riding and a big pie filled with pudding, croissant, pie and…

My first locomotive. This was actually my first MOC after I came out of my dark ages. As you can see, it is heavily inspired by the work of swoofty - but why reinvent the wheel when someone has done it perfectly before? I learned that building with dark green really is a pain. Some dark green plates are still missing - so it remains as a work in progress. Many design iterations on this loco, especially on the trucks and handrails.

Lego NS GP40-2 MOC
Well, I have been lurking here for awhile. This project has been a several-month adventure, and although frustrating at many times, was a real pleasure to work on. I was inspired by this amazing WIP MOC www.flickr.com/photos/88718670@N02/8504933854 (by “Pickyourownbogie”) and decided that I had to have my own. I borrowed a handful of ideas from that picture in constructing my long hood; I especially admired the cab-roof and dynamic-brake grid, as well as the “door latches”. I borrowed the…

E.P. Ripley Locomotive (MOC) - Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad
The E.P. Ripley was one of the original locomotives that plied the rails at Disneyland in 1955. The Ripley - Engine Number 2 - pulled the Retlaw 1 Passenger Train consist on opening day, taking round trips from Main Street, USA. This MOC is based around LEGO's official design for the Disney Train (71044). Due to parts availability and the idiosyncrasies of the Ripley, the model required quite a few shifts and changes. The stickers are custom designed by me - an attempt to make the 1955…

The C.K. Holliday was one of the original locomotives that plied the rails at Disneyland in 1955. The Holliday - Engine Number 1 - pulled the Retlaw 2 Freight Train consist on opening day, taking round trips from Frontierland. This MOD is based around LEGO's official design for the Disney Train (71044). The stickers are custom designed by me - an attempt to make the 1955 engine livery look like LEGO's official stickers.
