RESIN IS MAGIC. I use a 2 part clear epoxy that dries to a high gloss finish. I use it to coat paintings, to layer materials, to embed stuff like leaves and candy, to make sculpture, and to make round resin disks I call “petri”. You can add paint, dye, and ink to resin and use it like paint. The possibilities of what resin can do are so incredible!
