This cup and saucer is made from papier mache, and decorated with individually cut petal shapes decoupaged in overlapping layers, and then images taken from 1950's furnishing fabrics have been added inside and outside the cup. The paper has been taken from pages from the wonderful Selvedge magazine (well read) and an old encyclopedia. This has then been finished with a final layer of typical 50's motifs of stylized plants and abstract linear figures, making this a truly unique piece…
