Zebra Hollyhocks are perennials that bloom all summer long. They are easy to grow self seed are drought tolerant and attract butterflies. They grow in sun to part shade and get tall. Great for perennial beds cottage gardens borders and rock gardens.

Bressingham Gardens, England A “black sea”, with a breaking wave of Hakonechloa. This now in late autumn shows the red stems of the Cornus highlighted by the dark green pillars of Taxus, autumnal tones of the grass.
Heuchera (Coral Bells) is one of my favorites. Its an evergreen perennial that comes in a wide array of colors. It does very well in shade and doesn't require much water. Coral Bells, (Heuchera) 'Peach Crisp' - attracts hummingbirds and butterflies
