French Caneles/ my absolute favorite bakery treat! Well- a perfect apple strudel is a tie ;) if you have never had a canele don't think it's burnt, it's carmelized and very brown, custardy on the inside like a handheld creme brulee. They are not everyone's taste- my daughter took a bite and said, "What? Bleh!" Ha more for me!! YUM!!!! Bakery in Port Townsend here I come!
