Large basket-bag with exterior of a hand-woven material unique to Madagascar "jabo"; a combination of cotton thread and raffia palm leaves. A few thin cinnamon sticks have been woven in to create patterns. The handles are made of braided sisal. (Photos on the right top show raffia palm and below cinnamon trees on the east coast of Madagascar. Photo on the left shows sisal in the highlands.)
