Midsummer is the very special day in Finnish summer. We celebrate midsummer in summercottage with our family, friends and and neighbours. Midsummer is the most beautiful and lightest time in the summer. I love, love, love the Midsummer.

The entrance to the smoke sauna door. The door handle is a moose antler. Note the birch whisk (vihta) hanging on the wall, with which to smote oneself! In the heat of the sauna, the vihta produces a wonderful herbal smell.
