The model of this wallpaper was found during the  restoration of Hudiksvall theater and is contemporary with the wallpaper from the rebuilding that took place in the early 1880s. 'Elsagården' (044-21). Swedish Crafts Association, founded in 1845, tried early on to raise the standard of the Swedish art handicraft by getting well known artists to make some patterns. At the so-called exhibition at Fotografiska in 1917 this pattern was presented among others. The wallpaper pattern designed by the architect Uno Åhrén.
