The Egtved Girl was a Nordic Bronze Age girl whose well-preserved remains were discovered outside Egtved, Denmark in 1921. Aged 16–18 at death, she was slim, 160 cm tall (about 5 ft 3 in), had short, blond hair and well-trimmed nails.

The Egtved girl (Egtvedpigen in Danish) is the name of the exceptionally well-preserved but oddly partial remains of a Bronze Age woman, found in one of several high status burial mounds in southern Jutland in Denmark, about 3400 years ago.

Small, irregular textile pieces, which were folded together and placed on top of the deceased's feet. They are not processed in any way, and they seem to have a more symbolic than practical role. In the graves from Skrydstrup and Jels in South Jutland is found along with proper footwear. This could indicate that they were used for the lining of the shoes. At the man in Muldbjerg grave in western Jutland was no right shoes, but only those fodlapper of wool.
