The pattern Vegetable Tree is a variation of the Tree of Life theme that Josef Frank often used. With tongue-in-cheek he transformed it into a vegetable tree. Frank’s stylized forms and intensity of colour that blend nature with fantasy is a sight to behold. Josef Frank designed Vegetable Tree while in New York in 1941-1946.

Josef Frank - austro-hungarian architect with jewish origins, has created in his life numerous objects of design, and also valuable textile artworks.
