Patch and repair a shirt
Create something unique when you mend a shirt. Use other garments that are torn or that you’re tired of to make a new favourite. This denim shirt had a few holes and some bad stains on the sleeves. We used another worn-out shirt and an old knitted jumper to repair the denim shirt and give it a second chance.
Mend & repair a shirt
Wear and tear in a shirt or dress is easy to fix with a piece of fabric and some Vliesofix. You don’t even need a sewing machine – just a steam iron, needle and thread. Use fabric from other garments that you can’t use anymore to keep things circular. Sew a few decorative stitches in a contrasting colour for extra durability.
Give your favourite item of clothing a second chance
Do you have a garment you love, but that you wouldn’t really wear outside of home? Update it and wear it again! We went wild with an old, worn-out denim jacket that had stains and holes. But maybe you have a pair of trousers or a skirt just hanging around in need of a makeover. What piece of clothing will you give a second chance?

Nothing’s worse than a stain that won’t go away. But this is easy to hide with iron-ons and a fabric pen. We chose a set of adorable insects and drew little flying lines. Add several iron-ons, even if there’s no stain underneath. The finished look will be beautiful. Suddenly, you’ve magically made the stain disappear – and created a fun pattern that looks intentional. Holes at the knees, elbows or bottom? A fun iron-on is a quick and easy way to mend them. Try it, whether you’re repairing a garment for a child or an adult. Keep in mind that stretchy materials will need a stretchy patch in order to last. If the hole is large, you can place a piece of fabric on the back to prevent the adhesive from sticking to the fabric behind it. A hard surface and clean fabric will improve adhesion.
