Twin sisters Caroline & Louise are the talented artists behind @wilsondesigncollective and we adore their highly detailed, nature-inspired designs! This #wip shot shows a gorgeous gouache painting in progress which Louise created for a wallpaper launched last year by @sanderson1860. Louise describes her process of "always making sure the repeat flows gracefully across the width of the design to ensure a balanced repeat." How stunning is this blockprinted pattern by @365blockprints?! We love the layout and the use of the more faded ink to create the contrasting stripes. @stefano_stoppani is the artist behind this daily project that was started in January of 2021, and we giddily lost track of time falling down the rabbit hole of this gorgeous page! Thanks to @365blockprints for sharing with #patternobserver 🔶

October is Home Decor Month in the Textile Design Lab, which means we are coming together as a community to explore the home decor industry and become more empowered designers. We are doing this through a series of guest expert presentations, two of which are from one of our longtime members, Jenny Bova. Jenny is also kind enough to share a bit about her background and the industry in today’s post!
