In recent years, Chaparral cars are being made for private owners via the continuation series. With dozens of McLarens and Lolas running in vintage races, it's truly wonderful to find Chaparral competing as well.

For the 1965 Bridgehampton USRRC race, Sharp's Chaparral was fitted with the same bodywork as at the previous race at Riverside. The car shows the early vestiges of the mustache spoilers first seen at the previous race. Hall's car had new rear bodywork, widened to cover the larger tires installed. Sharp's car had the older rear bodywork, and  required some cutting to avoid rubbing on the tires. Sharp finished 2nd to Hall in the typical Chaparral 1-2 finish. Stanley Rosenthall photo.
