Definitely doing this year...with a stress on expository writing traits and adjectives

A fun note writing activity with students! During the month of February, they get to write nice notes to each other {when they finish their work}. At the end of the day, we pass the notes out. I like the system so everyone gets a note.

Take what you need to be inspired.

FREE printable happy notes by my amazing artist friend Lori. Think I will put these in my kids' lunch boxes :)

An important lesson.

A good lesson to teach that we all look different, but inside we are all the same. I've used this in the past with my Martin Luther King, Jr unit. Fun and effective. M M science experiment!

Another concrete example to use when emphasizing how things and people are the same on the inside altho we/they may look different on outside (also brown & white eggs)
