Bayeux Cathedral - Bayeux is the home of the Bayeux Tapestry (XI century) , which  depicts how William the Conqueror became the first Norman king of England after the Battle of Hastings. This cathedral was the original home of that Tapestry and was consecrated in 1077. BEEN THERE!

Rollo (Gange-Rolv Ragnvaldsson) West Norwegian Viking chieftain. Parents: Ragnvald Mørejarl og Hild Rolvsdatter. September 25, 1911 in the town park in Ålesund during a major event unveiled a statue of Rollo/Gange-Rolv. The statue was a gift to the city of Ålesund from Rouen in Normandy.
