During the airborne phase of Operation Anvil-Dragoon, the parachutes of Allied soldiers blossom over the French countryside. The initial drop started in the predawn hours and was hampered by heavy fog.

Not a lot of people know about this but in the early days of the Korean War, the US infiltrated No-Geunri, Korea and mistakenly killed hundreds of South Korean refugees. While the US intended on fighting the communist forces, they ultimately massacred many innocent anti-communists. I think this makes a big statement about war.

"Star Wars" Opening day, spring, 1977 - I went to this movie in the first week w/a friend from my theater group. We were all just blown away - & people not only applauded at the end, but stayed to read the credits! It was very groundbreaking for the time.
