Brúarhlöd, Iceland. We found this place when we were driving from the Geysir area. There were hardly no people here so you could really be one with the nature. The landscape and formations are very different to other parts of the southwestern island, so it's a perfect place to spend some time and relax before continuing your trip on this volcanic island.
At the spur of the moment we decided to do something different for this (Swedish) Midsummer weekend and booked a last minute trip to Iceland. We didn't have much time on this amazing island, but got a real good preview of the incredible forces of nature.
