I admit the flow chart leaves a little to be desired (um, no, I did NOT read Life of Pi because of the movie. I read it long before they decided to make the movie) but overall great book ideas

"The-Pillars-of-the-Earth..long read...but is it worth it! did you like it..." I have never read any of his books. Have you?

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. Historical fiction that is also a murder mystery, architectural education on building cathedrals, love story. Thank you Ken Follett for the gift of many pleasant hours spent reading your book.

Great book ! Stayed up until 3am because I couldn't go to sleep not knowing what happened !

Safe Haven - Nicholas Sparks. Not my favorite Nicholas Sparks book, but a good, quick read!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon

Lovely Bones

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. A crime story told from the point-of-view of an autistic boy. His perceptions are as, or more, fascinating than solving the crime! My favorite Mark Haddon book.

The Hunger Games by: Suzanne Colins: a government put children from ages 12-18 into an arena to fight to the death.

This was an OMG love series. I thought I'd hate it, kids killing kids and all, but the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins was absolutely amazing! A must read!

Pretty good so far. I recently bought the boxed set; I always try to read the book before I see the movie.

These are a must read- make sure that you have all 3 when you start. The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxed Set [Hardcover] Suzanne Collins (Author)

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet by Stieg Larsson. The story was such a twisted soap opera by this book that my interest shut down and tuned out. Bummer after the first 2.

Stieg Larsson's 'The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest' is a triumph

Jaycee Dugard's memoir of her stolen life in 18 years of captivity when she gave birth to two daughters...touching and moving. I liked it and read it in 2 days.

The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini): my favorite book int the Department

Love this series. I was sad when I finished the last book. The movie comes out on March 23rd. Yay!

'The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxed Set' by Suzanne Collins ---- The extraordinary, ground breaking New York Times bestsellers The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, along with the third book in The Hun.

For my historical fiction book I read 'The Book Thief'. I really enjoyed this book. I think there were many unique aspects all throughout this book. One of these aspects is the fact that the narrator is a mystery all throughout the book (I solved this mystery very quickly).

Good Reads: Spring Reading List

The Book Thief, Markus Zusak, is a historical fiction novel set in Nazi Germany. Told from the perspective of a personified version of Death, The Book Thief is a outstanding and unique story that shows what it's like to be alone and afraid.
