How to turn a closet into a kid's book nook

closet-turned-nook love it! we do this to every closet Bear has ever had =) he loves his very own special place. Its never this awesome or large, but it is his space he gets to decorate himself. Closets as kids spaces is so great.

Brickbox

Wall of shelves made from book boxes--maybe use wooden crates like this for storage under loft?

I love this. Perfect extra room for company.

inspiration for tiny house built-ins (but this is oversized tiny home for four with 540 sq ft footprint). wondering why ladder rests on couch? built-in couches have storage below

my life is a book shelf full of what i have read, havent read, and have read many times over

amandaonwriting: Read Bookcase (The Only Living Girl In New York)

An statement bookshelf/wall decor! This would be more for decoration because all of my books wouldn't fit lol!

I hope one day I will have enough books for a library wall and kids that won't tear everything off it :)

Light library space, with lovely white armchairs and floor to ceiling bookshelves, artfully stocked. Floor to ceiling bookshelves with ladder.

Flooring to ceiling?...With room left at the top for more?...How is this possible? (oh and the turquoise is good too)

loving these gorgeous blue bookshelves. Having built in bookcases all the way up to the ceiling creates extra space. Avoids clutter, because you have enough space to store your favorite magazines, books, etc.

I LOVE the Papa Bear chair! A pair of Hans Wegner's Papa Bear chairs flank a Mogens Koch Desk.

Reading Room, Greenwich, Connecticut

Imagine picking a book from the one of these bookcases, then lazing the day away in this cozy library, reading that book with a cup of coffee and a nice breeze coming in from that window. Ah, I will have a library in my house one day

I like the loft idea-- but maybe give it space to the outside. Stick a cool looking tower up there, right out the roof of the house. I'm pretty sure any structural engineer would find hundreds of problems with this, but I like the idea :)

Reading loft above the bookshelves. Perfect place to hide in a book. A Belle ladder. And the green chair!

Falling Bookshelve

Some pretty awesome book shelves. I personally want floor to ceiling shelves covering at least two walls in my spare bedroom. until I upgrade from condo to a house with a full-blown library / reading-n-nook room :D

Chris Hacken's answer to Design: What are some of the most unique bookcases? - Quora

Are you a book lover or voracious reader? Home libraries help you organize your books and designate an area for the sheer pleasure of reading. Relax and enjoy that collection of books you've coll.

If I could build shelves like this around every doorway, then we might be okay.

Beautiful bookshelves and gorgeous herringbone floor. My dream home~ a library with a rolling ladder, too.
