Rick Grimes is a fictional character from the horror drama series The Walking Dead. Created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, he made his debut in The Walking Dead #1 in 2003. Rick (portrayed by Andrew Lincoln) is the primary protagonist of both series, a sheriff's deputy who awakens from a coma to find an epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living.
