1961. A view of the Waterlooplein flea market in Amsterdam seen towards the entrance of the Zwanenburgwalstraat. Waterlooplein is a square in the center of Amsterdam, near the Amstel. The square was created in 1882 when the Leprozengracht and Houtgracht canals were filled in. In 1893 the square became a daily marketplace.
