Rudbeckia 'Henry Eilers' - Charming blooms of unusual gold quilled petals highlighted by chocolate-brown button centers. Good for cut flowers. A narrow upright grower which makes a great specimen in the back of the border. Very appealing in the late summer. Introduced by Larry Lowman of Ridgecrest Nursery.
Echinacea 'Daydream' - 'Daydream' is a midsize plant with fabulous yellow to soft yellow flowers that bloom all summer long. Use en masse for the border, in a mixed bed, and as a cut flower. The sweet fragrance is just right for a lazy summer afternoon.
Anemone 'September Charm' has beautiful 2-3" silvery pink flowers with darker rose shadings and yellow stamen centers appear on long, wiry but graceful, branching stems over attractive green foliage. Blooms summer to fall. Deer resistant. Nice cut flowers for a long period.
Echinacea 'Glowing Dream' - Like 'Amazing Dream', this new compact, floriferous Echinacea also has E. tennesseensis breeding, which imparts a great habit and a great crown. The flowers of 'Glowing Dream' are an intense, glowing, watermelon-coral pink. A fabulous landscape plant with great flower color, habit, and long bloom time. Wow!
Hydrangea paniculata Little Lime ('Jane') (PBR) - It may be half the size of its sibling 'Limelight', but this fab new hydrangea still packs pretty good punch. It has strong stems that support the weight of the conical, lime green flowers, which fade to
Day Lillies and Black Eyed Susan. Trumpet-shape daylilies come in colors such as pink, red and orange that complement classic orange-yellow black-eyed Susans. Both bloom midsummer; black-eyed Susan flowers last until midautumn.
Coreopsis(Tickseed), produces scores of sunny yellow flowers in summer months. 'Domino', pictured here, has a mahogany band near the center of the bloom. Pluck off spent blooms to prevent seed formation and to keep the plant blooming profusely.
