Delair Shaker || Delair Shaker studied ceramics at the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad, receiving his diploma in 1990. The son of prominent Iraqi ceramicist Saad Shaker, Delair Shaker was exposed to the arts from a young age. He left Baghdad during the 1990s to live in Amman, where he taught art and later became head of the art department at the Ahliyyah School for Girls. In 2005, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona.

Kareem Risan || Kareem Risan studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad, graduating with a degree in painting in 1988. His work reflects his experiences of living through war and invasion; he was a soldier during the Gulf War and witnessed the post-2003 US invasion of Iraq.
