Marble House is a Gilded Age mansion in Newport, Rhode Island, now open to the public as a museum run by the Newport Preservation Society.

Marble House |  Newport, RI. Opulence commissioned by William Vanderbilt and designed by architect Richard Morris Hunt. Marble House was constructed from 1888 to 1892 in the Gilded Age or Belle Epoque. The Preservation Society of Newport County owns the house and is responsible for historic preservation.
