The Long-wattled Umbrellabird is named after its obviously long wattle, sometimes even as long as the bird itself. The male can control its length at will and inflates it as a display while courting a mate. This one was photographed in El Oro, South Ecuador.

This reminds me of a little Grey Catbird that we raised named, 'Squiggy Wiggles'. We found him as a baby, after a bad storm. We tried to put him back where we found him, but in a shelterd place, but his mom never came for him and a cat was stalking him, so we took him in. He loved to eat. He loved Papa John's, one of his favorites. We released  him into the wild. I'm sure he did well. He was really smart.
