"Scrimshaw Globe" Scrimshaw on Antique Ivory Cue Ball by Salmon Rashidi. These ivory billiard balls are becoming increasingly hard to come by. This one was made in the U.K. probably around the 1880s. What is generally overlooked is the preparation of the ball itself. When sanding and polishing the ball, care has to be taken to maintain the original spherical shape otherwise it will not fit properly in the stand.
