Ordered for the 25th wedding anniversary of Alexander III and Empress Maria Fedorovna. The clock is the largest masterpiece ever made by Fabergé, and it is comprised of 25 silver cupids on a pedestal. In the pedestal base is a griffin holding the Romanov family emblem in one hand and the Danish national emblem in another. The clock was a gift from 32 members of the Imperial Family, and their names are engraved on the reverse side. A monogram inlaid with diamonds was lost in the 1917…
