Prince Llywelyn the Great  Llywelyn the Great lived between 1173 and 1240. Throughout his reign he lived at Garth Celyn which is on the North Wales coast between Conwy and Bangor. A Prince of Gwynedd, Llywelyn ruled over most of Wales from 1216 onwards, using a combination of military strategy and diplomacy to achieve this. This statue of Llywelyn the Great stands in the centre of Conwy.
