Possibly part of a series of marching soldiers, although it does not form part of the series of six sheets in Munich.

Sebald Beham - Wachmayster (Wachtmeester) - circa 1530 A landsknecht regiment consisted of about four to five thousand soldiers led by a colonel. Within a regiment various officials (a kind of officers) who were responsible for specific tasks, such as justice, police and supplies were. The sergeant looked at guarding the camp. As a carrier of a regiment office 'he holds a brief spike fixed.
