Bronze figurine from the Vendel dig. The “horns” on the figurine actually form a hanging loop on the pendant, though the resemblance to Cernunous is pretty striking to me. Ekhammar, Kungsängen, Uppland, Sweden. SHM 30245:F1

A small bronze pendent found in Uppland, Sweden. The pendant depicts a warrior holding a sword and 2 arrows. This pendent probably dates back to the iron age or vendelperiod.

Bes is a god from Sudan, established in Egypt under the Twelfth Dynasty. It has the appearance of a dwarf with twisted legs, the lion's mane and tongue lolling. Despite its unprepossessing physique, he acquired great popularity thanks to his joviality. God of the fireplace, it also has other secondary attributes. It is associated with Aha warrior god and Hathor. Amulets bearing his image serve to ward off bad luck, and deflect evil influences.
