Germany and Italy, late 15th century. United States (New York, Leonard Hugel and Harvey Murton), about 1926. The helmet and some body, arm, and leg pieces are original. Bashford Dean required The Met's armorers to sign and date reproduction pieces; this was not done for this armour in his personal collection, but correspondence indicates the work was done by Hugel and Murton.
