This Bactrian Camel (2 humps) mother stands with her young daughter at the Krakow (Poland) Zoo. Mom looks disheveled because she's shedding her winter coat. Bactrian camels live in the high plains of central Asia, where it gets really cold. The herds there have been so hunted by people, that they will run for miles upon sighting a human. The humps don't store water, but fat : think of the humps as an emergency lunch box. Their wool is used by people in the high plains to keep warm…

There’s a new addition in the Camel yard at Poland’s Krakow Zoo: a female Bactrian Camel was born on May Photo Credit: Krakow Zoo Bactrian Camels are pregnant for about 13 ½ months.

A real, live Teddy Bear to hold... ;D ❤️

Awww so sweet :) While I can't find the original source, I'm guessing they may be Spectacled Bears (as the pattern doesn't quite fit with the Asiatic black bear/Sun Bear)
