Laura Ingalls Wilder....(February 7, 1867 – February 10, 1957) was an American author who wrote the "Little House" series of books based on her childhood in a pioneer family. Laura's daughter, Rose, inspired Laura to write her books. It became "Little House On The Prairie"

This was Jeanne Calment-  she passed away in 1997 at the age of 122 years and 164 days old. She learned to fence at 85, and was still riding a bicycle at 100. At 113 she was known as the last living person to have personally met vincent van gogh! She lived alone until 110 and was able to walk upright until almost 115. Ms. Calment is one of the longest lifetimes in documented history! What an awesome lady!

Many American GIs took a heart shield bible with them into combat.  The bibles were sent to them by loved ones.  Most consisted of the new testament covered with metal plates and were kept in a soldier's shirt pocket, over his heart.
