Acquired by the Lopez-Willshaws in 1935 and long displayed in the Salon Chinois of their Neuilly-sur-Seine residence, this pair of Régence satinwood armoires bears the stamp of Brice Peridiez, who made them around 1720. In the Chinese taste, they are paneled with lacquer scenes of Asian villas and gardens and mounted with ormolu.
