The International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) can be used to represent the sounds of any language, and is used in dictionaries and language courses to show pronunciation.
This is an Indo-European Language Tree. It includes only a fraction of the world languages (that exist today and that have existed). This is just another good visual of how languages are related and stem from parent languages.
IPA symbols for SLP: I chose to pin this for the SLP so when the SLP is evaluating the child and transcribing what the child said, the clinician can glance at this and have a quick overview of the IPA symbols.
